Poetry for Life’s Journey Saturday 9th March 2013
Just three people attended this day’s course and the depth of working and sharing was remarkable. There were many serendipitous connections.
Poetry for Life’s Journey Saturday 9th March 2013
Witherdens Hall near Wingham, Canterbury
A one-day course reading and writing poetry appropriate to the time of year, led by Victoria Field, a trained Poetry Therapist.
There is growing evidence that creative reading and writing can help us make sense of our lives and that regular practice is beneficial for our health and well-being – whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
This course is open to all. No experience is required, just a willingness to participate. We will read and talk about poems that speak to the human condition and write in response. The emphasis is on spontaneous expression in a non-judgemental environment, although for those with an interest in more formal writing will find they will have generated much raw material.
For people working in therapeutic environments, a CPD certificate can be provided.
Price: £65 including hot drinks and snacks. Please bring some vegetarian food to share for lunch.
Places limited to 12.
